Budget April 2009

Our recent update on the proposed amendments to the Finance Bill is now out of date. We have left this on the website to provide a trail for those interested in the discussions being tabled.

As it stands, the original budget update stands and no significant amendments to the Bill from those originally announced on the 22nd April are likely. The special allowance is likely to remain at £20,000 and the definition of higher earner will not be restricted to the year in which the pension payment is made.
